COLLEGE STATION — Twenty teammates, eight courts, and an unlimited amount of tennis balls are some of the statistics that lined Wednesday’s activities. However, the only number that mattered to the Tigers was 10. Ten match points and the state finals would be reached.



COLLEGE STATION — For the first time since 1999, Highland Park will not reach the state final in team tennis.


The Scots’ run of seven consecutive state championships also ended Wednesday, as did Highland Park’s streak of 174 consecutive victories in dual matches.
